“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment” – Jim Rohn

You start to feel the cold breeze, and you know that it’s that time of the year. Holidays are fast approaching – buckle up and don’t let delicious foods ruin your weight loss program. When the holiday season is around the corner, we automatically say “it’s Christmas, we can eat whatever we want and start shedding it next month”.

Wrong.

Yes you can enjoy the food, but don’t take in much. For those of you who are, year after year, always gains weight on the month of December, here are a couple of tips on how you can stay on track during the merry month.

Enjoy, but don’t go overboard. We know that the holidays are the best time for you to relax, enjoy and have fun with the presence of your family and friends. However, we also know that there are still some people who are physically with their loved ones, but are not enjoying themselves, because they are eating foods in line with their diet such as boiled chicken and vegetables.

Stop Waiting. Most of us would wait until the final week of December before deciding to lose weight. Always focus on being more active and dialing your nutrition now. If you keep your discipline during the weeks leading to New Year, it’ll be easier for you to make up for any unexpected diet discrepancy that you’ll get during Holiday celebrations.

You can’t help it – yes you can. There’s a high chance that you’ll feel bloated when you go from one party to another. Here’s a good diet tip that you can do – don’t stand by the food table. Go around and socialize with your friends, it’ll put your mind off from the food, and focus more on your interaction with your friends. Put a small amount of food on your plate then mingle with your friends somewhere else, far from the food table.

It’s not easy to lose weight during the holiday season. However you can do it if you hold on to one thing – discipline.
